Lyon then sparked life into the match by removing Faheem Ashram on first ball and then Sajid Khan a few overs later. Chasing a target of 506 runs, Pakistan batted out of their skins. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan built a solid stand after mammoth third-wicket partnership between Babar and Abdullah Shafique. Meanwhile, Lyon took four wickets and Pat Cummins took two wickets for Australia. Earlier, Australia declared their second innings on 97 for two, following the dismissal of Marnus Labuschagne on 44.
