Israeli criminal attacked Gay Pride parade again, a girl killed and 5 wounded

Yishai Shlissel, a 39-year-old Israeli convicted criminal, murdered a 16-year-old girl and wounding five others at a Gay Pride parade.

The attack occurred in Jerusalem’s city centre where hundreds of people were participating in the parade.

It happened only three weeks after Shlissel released from ten years imprisonment for a similar attack in 2005.

“The pride parade must be stopped in order for the soul of Shira Banki to ascend to heaven,” he told the court in Jerusalem.

He also mentioned the name of the 16-year-old girl, “If you care for her well-being… you must stop cursing against God. The parade marchers are bringing great harm upon the nation of Israel.”

Shlissel was also charged with aggravated assault and six counts of attempted murder as well as the murder accusation over the attack on the pride parade last month according to the justice ministry.

The incident brought many questioning including insecurity of Israeli forces and how Shlissel was allowed to get close to the parade.
