Gradual decline in temperatures Friday: Egypt’s Meteorological Authority

A gradual decline in temperature degrees will start Friday across Egypt to end the current heat wave that started earlier this week, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said.

In a statement published Thursday, the EMA said that there would a gradual decline by 2 degrees Celsius followed on Friday by a 3 degree Celsius drop.

Light rain is expected in the northern coasts of the country whereas South Sinai and Upper Egypt are expected to see dust and sand storms.

The active dust and sand winds may cause turbulence in sea navigation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez.

Temperature expected across the country on Friday are as follows:

Cairo: 35/23

Nile Delta: 34/23

Alexandria: 27/22

North Sinai: 29/23

South Sinai: 37/17

Upper Egypt: 44/32
