Berks woman dies in Lebanon Co. crash after hitting tree, house

LEBANON CO., Pa. – A Berks woman has died after striking a tree, fence and house in an accident in Lebanon County Sunday night.

The incident took place in the 2200 block of West Cumberland Street.

Kyann Ruth Schnoke, 22, of Womelsdorf, was traveling east on southbound Route 422.

According to officials, a witness told police Schnoke was traveling at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle left the east bound shoulder of Cumberland Street, struck a tree, a fence and then struck the west side of a house and entered the living room, officials say. The car burst into flames and caused the homes to burn.

Schnoke was pronounced dead at the scene.

Residents were safety removed from the homes. Route 422 was closed for five hours.

Police continue to investigate.
